State of Connecticut’s Alliance District Loan Subsidy Program

This program is designed to support teachers, paraeducators, school counselors, school psychologists, and speech-language pathologists working in Connecticut Alliance Districts by offering an opportunity to refinance up to $25,000 of private student loan debt at a substantially reduced interest rate.

Key Program Highlights:

• Interest rate subsidy of 3% for eligible employees with subsidized fixed rates as low as 0.75% to 2.49%.
• Flexible loan terms of 5, 10, or 15 years
• Must remain employed in a Connecticut Alliance District to retain the 3% subsidy.
