ML Assessment & Exit Criteria
Multilingual Learners Assessment
The Connecticut State Department of Education uses the LAS Links Online Assessment for the MLL Assessments for all students in Grades K-12.
The LAS Links Online Assessment accurately assesses K–12 English language proficiency using a secure, robust online testing platform. The skills that are assessed include:
- Listening
- Speaking
- Reading
- Writing
Multilingual Learners Exit Criteria
In order to achieve exit status as a Multilingual Learner, the student must obtain the following on the LAS Links Online Assessment:
- an overall Level 4 or 5 on the LAS Links
- a Reading score of 4 or higher
- a Writing score of 4 or higher
