The HPS music department strives to provide opportunities for all students to develop their skills as performers, creators, and listeners, and most importantly help all students develop a love of music in their own unique way. Students in grades K through 6 receive general music instruction, and students in upper elementary grades have the opportunity to also take instrumental lessons and participate in band, orchestra, and/or chorus. In 7th grade all students choose one music course, and many options for ongoing music instruction are available in 8th-12th grade, including instrumental ensembles, chorus, theory, music technology, and more.

The winter concert season is upon us and we can't wait to showcase all of our students' hard work and musicianship! Please make sure to check our events calendar for details on each event, including snow dates in case of inclement weather or other closures. We hope to see you at a show soon!
