Vaisakhi is a joyful festival celebrated by Sikh people around the world. It marks the Sikh New Year and commemorates the formation of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699. During Vaisakhi, families gather at Gurdwaras, Sikh temples, to pray, sing hymns, and share delicious food together. One of the most exciting parts of Vaisakhi is the Nagar Kirtan, a colorful procession where Sikhs march through the streets singing hymns and showcasing their culture. It's a time to remember the values of equality, community, and service taught by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, inspiring love and unity among all.
