Student of the Month

Congratulations to our 4th Grade Student of the Month...

The fourth grade teachers are happy to choose Nia Stokes as this year’s Student of the Month!  Nia began the year as an in school learner and has proven to be resilient during these extraordinary times.  Nia is a humble young lady who is constantly showing us what it means to be a good friend and an amazing student.  She asks meaningful questions during lessons and always has great ideas to share during classroom conversations.  I have seen her, on multiple occasions, making sure everyone feels included during outdoor mask breaks.  She is always wearing a smile and has a positive attitude.  Nia turns in all assignments on time and will often take suggestions to make her work even better when necessary.  When Mrs. Perotti asked us who we wanted to nominate in fourth grade, we already had Nia in the back of our minds and did not hesitate when naming her as Student of the Month.  We are so proud of all of her hard work and continued dedication even during full distance learning.  She is going to continue to do amazing things and make every adult in her life so proud!

Congratulations to our 5th Grade Student of the Month...

Kaleigha is an amazing student who makes her presence known to staff, classmates, friends and whomever she meets with her warm smile and sweet disposition. Each day she is full of enthusiasm and positivity towards school. Whether it be remote or in person learning, Kaleigha readily participates in class, encourages all of her classmates, asks thought provoking questions and challenges herself to be her best self, taking advantage of supplemental activities and experiments.  Kaleigha knows the meaning of true effort, responsibility, and integrity. When I asked her mom to describe Kaleigha’s likes and dislikes, her mom responded, “Kaleigha loves singing, dancing, riding her bike or her hoverboard and nail polish but she really doesn’t have any dislikes. This statement does not surprise me at all.  Kaleigha’s positivity is contagious and reminds all around her to be grateful for what you have and focus on the positive in life.

Congratulations to our 6th Grade Student of the Month...

Andrea is a sweet and kind hearted soul. She comes from a family who is equally caring and kind hearted. Andrea has done nothing but impress the 6th grade team with her work ethic, intelligence and care for others. She even gets Mr. Nyce's jokes which is not easy to do in the beginning of the year! Andrea is a well-mannered and dedicated student. She is always prepared and has a positive outlook even during these challenging times in education. She advocates for herself when needed and understands and appreciates the value of education. She is outstanding role model for her peers.

Andrea is a special young girl who was raised right by a great family and has developed into a truly wonderful student and person. We are so proud to recognize her as 6TH GRADE STUDENT OF THE MONTH!  Shepherd Glen is lucky to have her! :)
