Bus Routes and Transportation  
For 2018-2019

Student assignment to a specific elementary school is based on family address.  If you need information regarding which elementary school your child will attend, please contact our administrative offices at 203-407-2203 or by email to Monica Mason or Wendy Ocone.  

Hamden Public Schools follows the guidelines of the Connecticut State Department of Education which requires transportation be provided to any school age resident attending a Hamden public, private or parochial school who resides an unreasonable distance from school. Transportation is provided at the following levels: 

  • Elementary school students (including Kindergarten) – who live more than 1 mile

  • Middle school students – who live more than 1.5 miles  

  • High school students – who live more than 2 miles 

*Stop times are approximate, therefore, students should be at the stop 10 minutes before the posted times to avoid missing the bus.  Bus stops locations and times are subject to change due to changing enrollment, weather and traffic conditions.  To view the bus routes, please click on any of the locations listed on the left side of this web page.
