Awards & Accolades
Throughout the year, so many of our students and staff members at Hamden Public Schools go above and beyond. They are shining beacons of our core values and the district honors those who make our schools a better place every day.
In November, we will be highlighting members at Bear Path School and West Woods School.
Hamden Public Schools is very proud of the work being done by our students across the district, in-person and distance learning, and each month Superintendent Goeler honors them with the Superintendent's Student of the Month award.
Hamden High School student, Ezekiel Daye, has been selected for the National African American Recognition Program for his remarkable academic achievements on the PSAT/NMSQT.
He is also a Semi-Finalist for the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program- one of only 16,000 around the country!
|Alexander Chavira and Sofia Zavatone-Veth achieved the rank of Commended Students for the 2021 National Scholarship Program for their high academic promised showed during the PSAT/NMSQT.|
Every year, Hamden Public Schools publishes a school calendar that distributed to all Hamden students and their families, as well as many community organizations and features art work (and in other years writing samples) from students across the district.
Normally, these students and their art are honored in a ceremony with the Superintendent. With the climate the way it is, HPS has decided to celebrate the calendar virtually (as with everything else these days)... please join us in congratulating these talented artist and watch our 20-21 Calendar Recognition Ceremony.
