9120 - Officers and Auxiliary Personnel

Officers 

The Hamden Board of Education shall, not later than one month after the date on which the newly elected members take office, elect from its number a chairperson and elect a secretary.  

How Elected 

Each Board member present and voting shall cast his/her vote for the election of each officer. At least five affirmative votes are necessary for the election of the chairperson. The vote of each member shall be recorded in writing and shall be made available for public inspection within forty-eight hours, excluding Saturday, Sunday and legal holidays. The results of the election shall also be recorded in the minutes of the meeting and the minutes shall be available for public inspection at all reasonable times. 

Term of Board Officers 

All officers of the Board shall hold office for a term of two years or until their successors are elected and have qualified, except in case of removal as provided in 9222.
