Pagers, laser pointers and attachments, cell phones or other electronic devices not part of the instructional program will not be allowed during the school day. Devices will be confiscated and returned only to a parent or guardian.
The use of cell phones and other electronic equipment during the academic day disrupts and interferes with the educational process and will not be tolerated. Immediately upon arrival to school students must place all cell phones, along with all other electronic devices, in their lockers. Students are not allowed to possess or use cell phones during the school day. If a cell phone or any other electronic device is visible at any time, other then when being placed in or removed from a locker, it will be confiscated.
At no time will any personal communication device be allowed on school property or at school activities that provides for a wireless unfiltered connection to the internet or which has the capability to take photographs of any kind. These devices pose a threat to academic integrity, confidentiality and the privacy rights of other individuals.
Any student found in violation of this policy shall be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including suspension.
