The Hamden High School Governance Council is seeking nominations from the student body for 2 seats on the Council. The Governance Council is a committee of 7 parents/guardians of Hamden High School students, 5 teachers, 2 community leaders, the principal, and a Board of Education representative. Its overall goal is to improve the quality of our school and to improve student achievement.
- The council now will add two students to this group of energetic, innovative, dedicated people whose singular goal is to make Hamden High School the best possible environment for the student body.
- The students can nominate themselves, but also are welcome to have a teacher, coach, administrator, or civic leader nominate them. Two teacher/administrator recommendations must be submitted with the nomination. Download the nomination / recommendation packet or pick up a copy at the main office, or the counseling office. Please make sure to attach contact information on the form including email and mobile phone number.
- The nominations will be reviewed by the Hamden High Student Council, and the two students will be selected by them.
