Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Before students may use technology in our schools, they (and their parents, for younger students) must sign a district "Acceptable Use Policy" (AUP). The AUP describes what is expected from each student in terms of behaviors related to technology use. Although more detail is provided in the AUP, broad categories of behaviors are divided into these four behavioral areas:
- Respect and protect the privacy of others
- Respect and protect the integrity, availability, and security of all electronic resources
- Practice good digital citizenship
- Use technologies appropriately.
Hamden Public Schools is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience.
We are currently modifying the site to comply with best practices and standards as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.
We are not perfect (yet!), but we will continue to work to improve the accessibility of all sections of our site with the goal of making each piece of content accessible to every visitor. Please let us know if you have any problems accessing our content.
