Library Media Center
Media Center is the heart of Shepherd Glen School. It is used daily by students, teachers and staff for story time, research, book selection, computer use and sometimes for assemblies and concerts. There are fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, reference materials, and videos for classroom use. Our Teacher Center has professional books, magazines and information on current trends and strategies in teaching.
It is also the home to Maker Space and the Family Resource Center!
Mrs. Helenski hosts multiple Family Library Nights every school year. Hopefully you will be able to join us for one!

The Nutmeg Children's Book Award is an annual book award given in Connecticut. There are ten books nominated by a committee.
Students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades are encouraged to read these books during the year and in May, vote for their favorite book. The votes from all over the state are sent into the committee and the winner is announced.
