Cross Country T-Shirts

Any student or staff member who is interested in purchasing a cross country t-shirt, please submit order forms and payments by October 18th.


Eli Whitney Informational Meeting

Attention 8th graders: A representative from Eli Whitney Technical High School will be coming to give a presentation about their school and trade programs on Tuesday, October 8th after school in the Media Center.  If you are interested in learning more about different trades-- or are interested in applying to Eli Whitney-- please sign up with your team leader by Monday, October 7th.  You will be able to take the late bus home.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Salerno.

College Financial Planning Seminar

October 29th, 6:30 PM, HHS room C107.  The Barnes Financial Group will review FAFSA, CSS Profile, Merit and Need based aid systems, as well as a range of ways that families fund a college education.  This important seminar is critical for 12th grade parents, and is very relevant for parents down through elementary school who are thinking about how to save for and plan for college tuition.  

ECA Informational Meeting

Attention 8th graders: There will be an informational meeting about ECA in the Media Center on Tuesday, October 29th directly after school.  You will be able to take the late bus home. Please see Ms. Salerno with questions. 

HMS Book Club

If you love reading and talking about books, then the HMS Book Club is for you.  HMS Book Club is a student-led club where students choose a book, read it, and share their feelings about the book in a variety of ways.   HMS Book Club meets every Monday from 2:50 to 3:20 in the Media Center.   Interested students should see Mrs. McCulley in the Media Center.  Next meeting is Monday, October 21st.

Spanish Immersion Experience

Are you interested in traveling in Spain for an immersion experience like no other?  If so, there will be an informational meeting during homeroom on Thursday, October 10th in the cafeteria.  Please check in with your homeroom teacher before attending.

Human Relations Club

The Human Relations Club will meet again on Monday, October 21st in Room 251.  See Mr. Tremper or Mrs. Michaud with questions.

Girls Volleyball Team

The Girls Volleyball Team eat Shelton 2 games to 0.  Annette Y. and Mia J. led the team with some great serving.  Gabby C. and Kayla M. made some terrific scoring plays.  Gianna C. and Izzy R. each made key defensive plays to help secure the win for Hamden.  Next up, the girls host Amity Middle School on Tuesday, October 15th.  Let's keep the intensity going!

Boys Soccer

The boys soccer team lost a close game to Polson Middle School by a score of 3-2.  Ethan C. played a fantastic game and made many amazing saves.  Francis C. and Zaiah L. scored both of the goals for the dragons.  Aidan S., Aidan N., Cameron S., Aidan D. and Francesco L. all positively contributed to the team.  The Dragons next game will be Thursday, October 17th vs. Bethany.  Go Dragons!
