HMS Bus Routes

Bus Routes

Late Buses

Late Bus runs only on Tuesdays & Wednesdays and are for students staying after school to participate in teacher office hours or school clubs and/or activities. Most after school activities begin at 2:49PM and end at 3:34PM or later. Students taking the late bus should be expected to arrive home between 4:30PM and 4:45PM.

Late bus routes are posted in the cafeteria.

the last day of late bus is Wednesday, May 27th.

Leaving Hamden Public Schools?

Complete the Required Withdrawal Form & Request Transcripts

If your child is NOT attending Hamden Middle School OR High School for the 2026-2027 school year, please complete the attached withdrawal form. This completed form can be emailed to gcolburn@hamden.org or mailed to HMS Attn: Gayle Colburn.

This form gives HMS permission to send all of your child’s records to their new school at the end of the year.

Dragon Academy: A 7th Gr. Orientation Program

Sign-Up Today for Summer 2026!

It is the perfect opportunity to prepare for middle school.

By participating in this summer orientation program, incoming seventh graders will have the chance to getfamiliar with their new school, meet staff, and build relationships with their future classmates. Students will beengaged in team building, reading, writing, and STEM activities.

WHO: Incoming 7th graders. All students enrolling in seventh grade at Hamden Middle School for the 2026-27 school year are invited to participate.

WHEN: Families can select ONE WEEK that best fits their schedule.

Week 1: July 6th - July 9th

Week 2: July 13th - July 16th

Week 3: July 20th - July 23rd

Week 4: July 27th - July 30th

Week 5: August 3rd - August 6th

TIMES: Monday through Thursday (4 consecutive days), 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.. Students may be dropped off at 8:45AM.

MEALS PROVIDED?: YES. Whitson's will provide FREE breakfast and lunch to interested students.

TRANSPORTATION: NO. Families must provided their own drop-off and pick-up.
