Health Services
Hamden High School offers students both Nursing Services and an on-site Student-Based Health Center (SBHC). Nursing Services include care of students with illnesses or injuries, medication administration and sports clearances. The SBHC offers more comprehensive health care, but requires the student to be enrolled by his or her parents/guardians. All Hamden High School students are eligible to receive this free service.
Both programs are housed in the high school Health Center which is located on the first floor of the A wing near the Main Office.
Daily Health Assessment
As we the new school year we wish to remind families that while the CDC does not currently recommend that universal symptom screenings be conducted by schools, it does advise that parents or caregivers should be strongly encouraged to monitor their children for signs of infectious illness including COVID-19 every day.
This Daily Health Assessment is a very important first line of defense in both ensuring the health and wellness of your children and also protecting our entire school community from the risk of infection. Please call the school to report any symptoms associated with COVID-19 and most importantly do not send your child to school if your child is ill.
