Student Awards & Recognitions
Throughout the year, so many of our students and staff members at Hamden Public Schools go above and beyond. They are shining beacons of our core values and the district honors those who make our schools a better place every day.
Hamden Heroes are recognized at the Board of Education meetings starting in November.
The South Central Area Superintendents’ Association (SCASA) Student Recognition Award goes to students who have gone above and beyond in three categories: community service and service to others, academic prowess, and leadership to the school community.

Hamden Public Schools is very proud of the work being done by our students across the district, in-person and during distance learning.
Each month Superintendent Goeler honors them with the Superintendent's Student of the Month award.
The Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) Awards Program honors Connecticut High School and Middle School students who exhibit exemplary leadership skills.
Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents (CAPSS) annual award is presented to students selected by their schools for academic achievement, community service and/or leadership in the school community.
