He has a strong connection to his peers and teachers and is committed to his education, while also striving to educate others. Cheveyo is the founder and president of The Breakfast Club, where students get together to watch and analyze movies. His love of film prompted him to write and submit his original screenplay about lavender marriages which earned him a place in the UCLA film school.

Cheveyo started his journey with the Mainstage Ensemble as a member of the stage crew. Upon discovering that he could sing, he was encouraged to audition and has landed various roles in the past two years: the Baker in Into the Woods, Jr, Zeus, Mr. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, and Callahan in Legally Blonde. And while he is known among the ensemble members as being an accomplished actor, he is cherished more for his personality. Cheveyo is one to always have a smile on his face, see the glass as half full and engage in whatever task is at hand with a full and open heart, even when he is facing disappointment or adversity.
