Bench Contest & Scholarship

The Hamden Arts Commission is hosting an art contest in honor of the late rapper and DJ, "Fat Man Scoop," who passed away last year during one of Hamden's summer concerts. The Commission is looking for a Hamden art student to decorate a park bench that will be placed in the Town Center Park. Therefore, the Arts Commission is hosting a contest to find just the right design.

The winner of the contest will receive a $1,000 scholarship prize. For additional information and to submit, please email Doc Martin, the Arts Commission chair. All submissions must be in before June 30th.
