It's never too early to start preparing for the next school year. Here are some items your child should have for the upcoming year:

  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 2 roll white paper towels 
  • 2 containers of Lysol Wipes
  • 1 pack of gallon sized zip lock bags
  • 1 pack of sandwich sized zip lock bags
  • 2 Elmer’s Glue Sticks
  • 1 box of Crayola Markers
  • 1 box of regular Crayola Crayons
  • 2 Playdough containers
  • 25 Paper plates
  • 1 package construction paper
  • 1 water color set
  • 1 package side walk chalk
  • 2 containers bubbles
  • Batteries (AA or AAA)

Children

The Hamden Public Schools Early Learning Program currently has openings for Hamden 3 & 4 year olds at the Alice Peck location (35 Hillfield Road, Hamden). Contact Director Jessica Vega at 203-407-2254 for more information.

The program is 9 hours/day, 5 days a week, year-round program with a sliding scale for fees.
