Parent Portal

The Parent Portal provides a way for parents to observe their child's attendance, assignments and grades, as well as easily email teachers. This access allows parents to keep more informed about what is happening with their children in school. The Parent Portal is part of our Student Information System (SIS).

This year, Hamden changed our SIS from Tyler (TEMS) to PowerSchool. PowerSchool is used by over 80% or schools in Connecticut. As we transition to PowerSchool, we are opening the Parent Portal first for secondary students - those attending Hamden Middle School, Hamden High School, and HCLC. Elementary schools will open the Parent Portal only on a pilot basis (a handful of elementary classrooms), since elementary schools are also transitioning to a new type of progress reporting (Standards-based report cards). All features of the Parent Portal will not be available immediately, but will be added as quickly as possible as we complete our move to PowerSchool.

If you are a parent of a Hamden Middle, Hamden High or HCLC student (or have been notified by your elementary school that your child's teacher is participating in the elementary pilot), you must first register to receive log in credentials.
