We know that parents and guardians are an essential part of our school community. Research has shown that students achieve more and do better in all aspects of school life when parents/guardians and families are involved.
Parent/guardian/family involvement can mean a variety of things, including but not limited to:
- Volunteering at school
- Helping with homework, reviewing classwork and discussing these with your child
- Attending PTA meetings
- Attending parent-teacher conferences and keeping in contact with your child's teachers
- Helping with a fundraiser
- Reinforcing skills learned at school - both at home and in the community
The parent portal allows for increased school-home communication by providing parents online access to attendance, assignment and grading information for their children. The Parent Portal will open in late September.
