DECA will be holding their annual Miracle Minute at today's pep rally. DECA will collect donations for the new Clifford Beers Clinic in Hamden. Clifford Beers is a mental health clinic serving children and families in the Greater New Haven area. Please bring in your spare change to donate to this great cause at the Pep Rally.
Club pictures will be taken in Room C107 on Wednesday, December 6. Schedules will be posted around the building.

Opiate Awarenss Forum, Monday, November 30,2017
Mayor Curt Balzano Leng and Superintendent of Schools, Jody Goeler, would like to inform residents that Hamden will hold another “Opiate Awareness Forum” on November 30th, from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the Hamden Legislative Council Chamber, located at Memorial Town Hall, 2900 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518. Parking is FREE and will be available on the top floor of the parking garage. The focus of the event will be on educating parents, guardians, and community leaders about the signs of opiate abuse, the devastating effects of drug addiction, and support resources available to the public. The event will feature a panel of speakers, as well as a question and answer session after the conclusion of panel presentations. Follow this link for more information about the events and speakers.
Spain Immersion Program - Do not miss the opportunity to go to Spain this summer! You will be immersed in the culture and study abroad for 2 weeks. HMS students will travel to Spain: April 2018 (Spring Session). HHS students will travel to Spain: End June-Early July 2018 (TBD). Applicants must complete the application form along with 2 teacher recommendations. Click here for more information. Attention Seniors and Juniors! Are you interested in earning free college credit? Consider Gateway Community College. The GCC High School Partnership applications are available. Please see your school counselor if you are interested and would like an application. The deadline to submit the application is November 29.
Application deadlines are right around the corner. Please submit your transcript release forms to the Counseling Office as soon as possible.
College Admissions Counselor visits: These schools’ admissions counselors will be coming to HHS in the upcoming weeks. Please have your child sign up in the School Counseling Office.
