The Student Council is now accepting applications for new representatives. The council has positions open for 10 juniors, 8 sophomores, and 8 freshmen. Come and be part of a new vision and mission for Hamden High. See Mr. Thomas in Room A318 for more information.
Students & Teachers! The Connections Committee is looking to put together a video to present to all students during Connections. The video will showcase the various clubs and activities that are offered at HHS. Let's show some school pride! Help your advisor submit a 2 minute video clip (you can use your phone) to highlight and showcase your club/activity. All videos should be submitted to Mr. Dan Cocchiola email@example.com by October 4.
Do you have the desire to construct a virtual and/or printed magazine? Do you want to either be published or design a booklet of artistic enjoyment? Then join the HHS literary magazine, for a wonderful year of imagination, creativity, and exploration. The Looking Glass Literary Magazine is having its first meeting ttoday, Friday, September 22 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM in Room B207.
The Science Club will meet today, after school in B310 to go over Science Olympiad events.
The HHS Ski Club is looking for new members! Ski on Friday afternoons and evenings in January and February at Mt. Southington. See Mrs. Murphy in B104, or Dr. James in the library for more information.
The HHS Green Team will be meeting on Monday, September 25 after school in room B308. New members are welcome!
The Health Professions Club will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, September 26 in Room A329, right after school. All are welcome to attend!
There will be a girls gymnastics meeting on Thursday, September 28 at 2:00PM in Room C107 for all new and returning players.

The European Travel Club's final parent/student information session will be Thursday, September 28 at 7:00 PM in Room B106. (The previously scheduled date, September 21, is a school holiday). The Houston Relief Fund - HHS has opened an account, and donations will be collected until September 22 to aid the people of the Houston area who were affected by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey. If you would like to make a donation, please make your check payable to: The Houston Relief Fund. Your child can deliver the check to Dr. Messiah’s office in C311; you can mail it to the high school, or you can bring it with you during our Open House on September 14.
Any students (grades 6-12) interested in participating in the exciting contest sponsored by CCM (Connecticut Conference of Municipalities) for CT public schools, please see the attached entry form for more information. The theme for the contest is, "What is cool about local government?"
