Spoken Word 2017!

Students interested in learning more about Hamden's Junior State of America chapter, and our plans for next year, should plan on attending a brief organizational meeting today after school in Room A316.

The Criminal Justice & Public Safety Career Workshop has been rescheduled! The workshop will take place on Thursday, June 8 at 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM in Room C107.

Student Opportunities

Attention Seniors and Juniors! Are you interested in earning free college credit? Consider Gateway Community College. The Gateway Community College High School Partnership applications are available. Please see your school counselor if you are interested and would like an application. The deadline to submit the application is May 30.

Southern CT State University offers high school students a week of FREE Journalism workshops in July. Enrollment is limited. Register online here

Fundraisers, Drives, & Other Events

Buy Yankee Candle and support the Class of 2020. Submit orders at the high school at freshman class meetings on May 9th and 10th. Or order online through July and use group #999967116. Funds will pay the deposit on our reservation for the senior prom of 2020.

Please support the freshman class of 2020 and help take care of the planet by donating your old cell phone (broken or working) to the recycling fundraiser. Collection boxes are in the high school library, the middle school library, the Miller Library, the Hamden Government Center, and the Whitneyville Branch of the Hamden Library. Collection goes through early May.

The National Honor Society is collecting items to make care packages for veterans. Please bring travel sized dental products, hand sanitizer, sports t-shirts, and baseball caps to Rooms C311 or B204. 

Peer Tutoring is available at Hamden High School. If you need help in a class or have a big test coming up, sign up for tutoring with an National Honor Society member!

Congratulations to all of Hamden High School's performing artists who attended the thirty-second annual Salute to Young Artists presented by The Hamden Arts Commission. A special thanks to  Eric Nyquist, (Director of Fine Arts) for your support and vision. 

Hamden High School is pleased to announce the Credit Recovery Program for Summer 2017.  Please see the attached form for more information.

Elevator Cards must be returned to the Nurse's Office by the due date. If an extension is needed please see the nurse. There will be an obligation for all keys not returned.

10th Grade physicals were due May 1. Students will not be allowed to enter school in the Fall until the nurse receives the completed form.

Parent Climate Survey: Parents, we want to know what you think about your child’s school.
