February is Career and Technical Education Month! During this month, students should consider taking courses in Applied Education to better prepare them for their future careers.

Support the HHS Gymnastics team! Show your team spirit by patronizing the Chipotle at 2165 Dixwell Avenue on Friday, March 3, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Hamden High School Gymnastics.
Join the National Honor Society at Moe's on Thursday, March 2 from 5:00 PM to close for a fundraiser. Please let them know you are there for the cause!
The National Honors Society is holding a collection drive for veterans. Please bring travel size hand sanitizer, dental products, winter scarves and hats, sports t-shirts, and baseball caps to Room B204, Room C311, and the library.

Attention Juniors! The State of Connecticut is seeking student representatives for the Connecticut State Board of Education. Each year, the Governor appoints two public school students as board members. Student Board members participate fully in discussions about education policy and lend an important perspective to Board deliberations. Interested applicants must fill out an application before March 10, 2017. Applications are available here or see Mr. Thomas in A318 for more information.
European Travel Club 2018 Trip Announcement: The European Travel Club is now planning their 2018 spring break trip to Italy/Germany/Switzerland with Educational First Travel Co (EFTours.com). This all inclusive travel program is open to any HHS student grades 9-12 in good academic and behavioral standing. Congratulations to Hamden High students who were recently honored at the the prestigious Scholastic Art Competition! Elliot Kurek (Gold Key winner, Ceramics), Noah Hodgkins (Honorable Mention, Drawing and Illustration), Reilly Slavin (Gold Key winner, Mixed Media), Dana Chea (Gold Key winner, Drawing and Illustration), and Alexander Mickens (Honorable Mention, Drawing and Illustration).
Parents: Please adhere to the signage regarding student drop off. Students are not permitted to enter school prior to 6:45 AM. Thank you for your continued support.
All 10th graders are required to have a physical this school year. The completed paperwork must be given to the nurse by May 1, 2017. Students will not be allowed to start school in the fall without one. If you have questions please call 203-248-6107 or visit our website.
