The Hamden High Love146 Taskforce will be meeting on Wednesday, April 23 in B201 after school until 3:00. Rob Morris, president of Love146 will be discussing the issue of child trafficking with us, so don't miss it! Staff and students are welcome; hope to see you there!
The University of Connecticut is offering a pre-college summer program open to students who will be juniors or seniors in the coming year. There will be 2 one week-long sessions in late July and early August in a variety of subjects: sociology, statistics, English, plant science and landscape technology, and digital media. There is a cost to the program. If you are interested, see Mr. Peterman in B202 for more information.
Students, if you are a cigarette smoker and would like to quit smoking, the Tobacco Research in Youth Staff from Yale University will be here on Thursday, April 24 at lunch time to talk to you about their program. This is their final visit of the school year and the last opportunity to sign up for this quit smoking program. You can earn up to $480 for participating. Visit them in the cafeteria to receive more information.
The 9th Annual Sidewalk Chalk Festival will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2014. This year the Chalk Festival will have a theme: ALBUM COVERS.

A reminder from the Nurse’s Office: all grade 10 physicals are due by May 1st. Students will not receive their fall schedules if they are not compliant. Reminders have been sent home twice this year.
